This summer I came up with a personal challenge to read some Christian Classics and did read about four from my master list. These were books that take longer to read and chew on, so to speak. I am going to open it up to anyone who wants to join me for 2008 and call it...
Foundational Faith Building Challenge - In this challenge I ask that you choose at least four books from your library of faith building classics and commit to read one every season for the year 2008. Then all you need to do is blog about how each book changed you in some way. If you are interested in joining me in this just leave a comment and I will put a list up of links for everyone participating. I will work on a little logo for this, too.
Some examples from my master list include but are certainly NOT limited to...

Leann, I like this idea! I have C.S. Lewis's Four Loves but haven't read it yet, and seeing your list spurs me on.
Thanks for joining the Winter Challenge. I'm not sure which of the lists you have posted are for that challenge (if any). Can you direct me to the correct post so I can link it at my site?
I'm in. :)

What a great idea. I see you are in several reading challenges. My hat is off to you - I can only keep up with one.
We have The Four Loves recording that Lewis did for the BBC. They are great and we have gone back to listen to them many times.
I also really liked Willard's book on the Disciplines along with Foster's book (although IIRC, Willard's book is more indepth).
I'm in too! http://mariaslibrary.blogspot.com/2007/12/fondational-faith-challenge.html
my new book blog!!
I'm in--granted I just had to go out into my garage where it is currently 17 degrees to find two of my books. But I'm in-woo hoo. Thanks for hosting this-of all the challenges I could consider, this is the one most needed!
Leanne, I would love to participate in this challenge. I have posted my 4 books here:
